Accessibility

Effective: June 20, 2026

The short version: we want Storypole to be usable by everyone, and we build it toward the WCAG 2.1 level AA standard. You can scale the text, turn on reduced-motion and high-contrast modes, and operate the app with a keyboard or screen reader. It isn't perfect yet — if something gets in your way, tell us and we'll fix it.

Our commitment

Storypole is a personal project built with care, not a large company with a dedicated accessibility team. We nonetheless treat broad usability as a core goal and measure ourselves against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, level AA — the standard most widely referenced by accessibility law in the EU and the US.

What's built in today

Known limitations

We're honest about where we fall short and are working to close these:

For these reasons we describe Storypole as partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 AA: most of the standard is met, with the gaps above outstanding.

Tell us about a barrier

If any part of Storypole is hard or impossible for you to use, please let us know — it helps us prioritise. Email support@storypole.app with what you were trying to do, the device and assistive technology you were using, and what got in the way. You can also use the Report a problem button in the app's Settings. We aim to respond within a few days.

Changes

As we improve the app, we'll update this statement and the limitations above. The effective date always reflects the current version.
