Phase rescheduled
If your scope changed (new work, different requirements), re-baseline. Otherwise just keep tracking the slip — it’s useful data.
Baseline status
If scope has changed dramatically (new work added, requirements shifted), you can re-baseline. This is rarely the right move — prefer rescheduling individual phases.
Approve project baseline
This locks your current plan as the original schedule. From this point on:
Only approve when you’re happy with your overall plan. Until you do, edits won’t affect slip tracking.
⚠ Re-baseline project?
This erases your original plan and locks today’s schedule as the new baseline.
After re-baselining:
Better alternative: just reschedule individual phases. Slip tracking stays useful that way.

Welcome to Storypole
The source of truth for your build
Track budget, schedule, decisions, and risks for one or many projects. Your data stays on this device — back up anytime with Settings → Back up.
By continuing, you agree to the Terms & License and Privacy Policy.
Keep your data safe
Effective: June 14, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Storypole (“we”, “us”), operator of storypole.app, reachable at hello@storypole.app. By using the Storypole website or application (hosted at storypole.app or as a downloaded copy), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use Storypole.
Storypole is a budget, schedule and project-control tracker for building and renovation projects. It runs in your web browser and stores its data on your device; an optional feature syncs your data to your own Google Drive. Storypole is a tool for organizing information you enter — it does not provide professional advice of any kind.
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Storypole — including any downloaded single-file copy — for managing your own projects (personal or in the course of your own business).
This license does not permit you to:
One thing in your favor, by design: because the app is a single self-contained file, a copy you have already downloaded keeps working on your own devices on its own — it needs no server, account, website, or connection from us to run. We built it that way on purpose, and nothing we do can take that away from a copy you already hold. This is not a promise to keep the website, the hosted app, sales, sync, or updates available — those may end at any time (see section 11), and the downloaded copy is provided “as is,” with no obligation on us to maintain, update, or support it.
The core of Storypole is free to use. Premium features (such as cross-device sync via your own Google Drive, multiple properties, Excel export/import and PDF reports) are unlocked by a one-time purchase of a license key. Prices and what's included are described on the pricing section at the time of purchase.
Your project data is stored on your device (see our Privacy Policy). That design gives you full ownership — and it also means you are in charge of keeping it safe:
Storypole does not provide financial, accounting, tax, legal, engineering, architectural or construction advice. Forecasts, projections and schedule calculations are arithmetic on your own inputs, not predictions or guarantees. Decisions about your project, your money and your contractors are yours alone — made, we hope, with better information.
Optional features rely on third parties we don't control: Google (Drive sync and sign-in), a public CDN (the Excel converter library), and the payment provider's license service (premium activation and periodic validation). Their availability, terms and policies are theirs. If they change or discontinue their services, the dependent Storypole features may stop working; the core app is built to keep working regardless.
Storypole is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied — including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, secure, or that defects will be corrected. Software has bugs; assume this one does too, and keep backups accordingly. Some jurisdictions don't allow certain warranty exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we accept no liability whatsoever for any damage or loss arising from your use of (or inability to use) Storypole. Without limiting that sentence, this expressly includes any loss or damage caused by:
If, despite the above, liability is nonetheless established, our total aggregate liability for all claims combined is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim (zero for free use). Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded; if any part of this section is held unenforceable, the remainder stays in force to the fullest lawful extent.
The Storypole application, name, logo and website content are our property. Open-source components are credited on the homepage footer and used under their respective licenses. Your project data is yours — these terms give us no rights to it (and, by design, no access to it). If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them without obligation to you.
We may update Storypole and these terms; material changes will be flagged on this page with a new effective date, and continued use means acceptance. We may suspend access to the hosted service for abuse of these terms. You can stop using Storypole at any time — your data is on your device and exportable; nothing is held hostage.
We may also change, suspend, or permanently discontinue the website, the hosted application, sales, premium licensing, and the optional sync service — in whole or in part — at any time and for any reason, with or without notice, and without liability to you. We are under no obligation to keep the website online or to continue offering Storypole for sale. Your locally stored data and any copy you have already downloaded are unaffected: they stay on your device, and you can export them at any time.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and disputes belong to the competent courts of Israel. Mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence remain unaffected.
Effective: June 15, 2026
Storypole (“we”, “us”) is the operator of the website storypole.app and the Storypole application. Contact: hello@storypole.app.
Everything you enter in Storypole — budgets, payments, schedules, decisions, risks, supplier contacts, photos and receipts — is stored locally on your device, in your browser's storage (IndexedDB and localStorage). It is not transmitted to us. We have no database, no server-side storage, and no way to access it.
Files you create (JSON backups, the full backup .zip that also bundles your photos, Excel exports, the optional linked auto-save file) are ordinary files saved where you choose. They are under your control, like any document on your computer.
If you connect Google Drive, the app syncs your project data and photos directly from your browser to your own Google Drive account using Google's API. This traffic goes between your device and Google — it never passes through us.
drive.file): it can
only see files it created itself, nothing else in your Drive.Storypole's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Honesty requires mentioning the ordinary plumbing of the web:
The website and app set no cookies and contain no analytics, advertising, fingerprinting or tracking of any kind. The app uses browser storage solely to store your project data and preferences on your device.
If you purchase a premium license, the payment is processed by an independent payment provider acting as the merchant of record — currently Lemon Squeezy (lemonsqueezy.com). They handle your payment details under their own privacy policy; we never receive your card information. What we can see in their seller dashboard is the standard order record: your name, the email you used at checkout, your country, what you bought, and your license key with its activation count. We use it solely to provide support, process refunds, and manage licenses.
To be precise about where purchase data lives: the purchase record (your checkout email, what you bought, the license key) is held by the payment provider; your license key is stored locally on your device to keep premium features active; and we keep any correspondence you have with us about your purchase. This is the only personal data connected to us anywhere in Storypole.
When you activate a license key (and roughly once a week afterwards while online), the app contacts the payment provider's license service directly from your browser to confirm the key is valid. That request carries the key and a short device label (e.g. "Storypole on Android") — no project data, ever. If you're offline, premium features keep working; validation simply waits.
If you email us, we receive your address and message and use them only to reply. We do not run newsletters or marketing emails.
Privacy laws give you rights of access, correction, deletion and portability over personal data a company holds about you. For your project data and app usage, Storypole's design satisfies these inherently — we hold none of it: it is already in your possession, exportable at any time (JSON or Excel), and deletable by you (in-app reset, clearing browser data, or deleting your files).
The only personal data that can exist on our side is what's described above: purchase and license records (held with the payment provider) and emails you send us. Your rights apply to those in full — write to us and we will access, correct or delete them, and you can also exercise rights directly with the payment provider under their policy.
Storypole stores your data using the storage mechanisms your browser and device provide, and the app is designed to minimize attack surface (no accounts, no server, no third-party code beyond what's listed above). But “local” is not the same as “secure”: no storage is immune to a compromised or stolen device, malware, browser vulnerabilities, or someone with access to your computer or phone. Protect the device like you would any device that holds your financial documents — lock screen, OS updates, and care with browser extensions, which can read any page they're granted access to.
Storypole is not directed at children under 16. Since we collect no personal data, no child's data is processed by us either.
If we ever change how Storypole handles data — for example, if a future feature involves a server — we will update this policy and clearly flag the change on this page before it takes effect. The effective date above always reflects the current version.
Effective: June 20, 2026
Storypole is a personal project built with care, not a large company with a dedicated accessibility team. We nonetheless treat broad usability as a core goal and measure ourselves against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, level AA — the standard most widely referenced by accessibility law in the EU and the US.
We're honest about where we fall short and are working to close these:
For these reasons we describe Storypole as partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 AA: most of the standard is met, with the gaps above outstanding.
If any part of Storypole is hard or impossible for you to use, please let us know — it helps us prioritise. Email support@storypole.app with what you were trying to do, the device and assistive technology you were using, and what got in the way. You can also use the Report a problem button in the app's Settings. We aim to respond within a few days.
As we improve the app, we'll update this statement and the limitations above. The effective date always reflects the current version.
